What you need to know about CT scan
Computed tomography (CT SCAN) is a diagnostic radiographic tool used to assess the anatomy of various organs in terms of function using X-rays. In some cases, a contrast medium may be injected to examine tissue function and vascular characteristics. The advantage of the examination is that it takes less time to examine, being able to show images in various perspectives, including 3D images, which contribute to effective diagnosis.

Preparation before examination
- Refrain from food and water 4 - 6 hours before the examination in case of having to inject contrast medium.
- If the patient has the following risks, please inform the staff immediately before the appointment or examination.
- Pregnant women or suspected pregnancy
- The patient has a history of allergy to contrast agents.
- The patient has a history of seafood allergy.
- The patient has a history of congenital diseases such as allergies, asthma, etc.
- Patients must have blood test results to see kidney function before examination in case of having to inject contrast material.
